Sara E. Harpenau is a born and raised Arizonan. She grew up practically in the theatre. After years of acting, she found her real passion in technical theatre. Sara worked for years as a costume designer and hair and makeup designer before discovering technical direction in college. Now Sara thrives in the shop under high pressure situations. She has experience building simplistic sets and very complex automated sets. She has built and toured scenery for dance shows, plays, musicals, and even worked as a workshop coordinator for a local Arizona high school. In 2017, Sara met her now husband at a theatre conservatory and continuing to create art with her partner is a dream come true. Sara loves nothing more than bringing the magic of theatre to the community that shaped her.
